I have over 16 years experience working as a Speech Language Therapist with children from pre-school age to 18 years.
I studied in Scotland where I achieved my Bachelor of Speech and Language Pathology. I worked in clinics and special schools in Scotland before moving to New Zealand in 2002.
In New Zealand I have worked for ACC, The Ministry of Education- Special Education, a special school and in private practice.
I have extensive experience of working with children and their families at home, early childhood centres and schools. I have supervised speech language therapy students and new graduate therapists.
I believe in working collaboratively as part of a team with the child’s family and teacher to achieve the best possible communication outcomes.
I aim to make each therapy session fun and engaging for the child. Therapy sessions are adapted to suit the needs and interests of each individual child.
